Mention of news story that highlights hate crime.
~First Impressions~
I wish I could call this a “Happy Pride Month”, but unfortunately, I did not get this out early enough to start with such optimism.
If you hadn’t heard, Jonathan Joss (actor known for “King of the Hill” and “Parks and Recreation”) was murdered in a hate crime on Sunday, June 1st. I will be posting more information on the Blue-Lusional Podcast Substack page soon.
However, this level of mourning is well suited to the Five of Cups energy that we begin with. The Hierophant (V) (reversed) also indicates fighting back against oppressive systems or abusive cycles. There is the beautiful reflection of that in the Five of Wands, suggesting a battle of sorts. The triple threat of the number 5 is telling, indeed!

~Breakdown~
The Hierophant (V) (reversed) — Central Theme
The message is to reject traditional systems of authority. When something is not working, there is no reason to force it if there is an available alternative. Your guides are reminding you to be true to yourself, as what you know in your heart is more important than whether or not you obtain approval from others. It is okay to smile and play along sometimes, and it’s also okay to go against the grain. Do things your way, for a change.
King of Pentacles (reversed) — Top of the Deck
Representing the influence of the beginning of the month, this warns of a greedy or overly-controlling entity. The emotions and whims of one has a continuous effect on the behavior of those around them. When the King turns upside down, his motivations are questionable at best, malicious at worst. Be careful when you encounter this person, and reflect if you might be exhibiting some of these characteristics yourself.
Three of Wands (reversed) — Middle of the Deck
Suggesting the first half of the month is influenced by feeling stuck and impatient. A purgatory of waiting in an endless queue for something to happen, or for inspiration to suddenly strike. Travel plans may have been canceled, or maybe you’re just feeling stuck in the same old place, ready to move on but can’t. Making plans for the long-term may help alleviate some anxieties about the lack of action in the present. Of course, if the opportunity is there, it might be worth the risk. Trust your gut…
Five of Cups — We start off the month with some difficult news or trouble moving on from loss. It is time to begin the healing process, but you might be called to make sure there truly is nothing left to salvage. Though, try not to let yourself sink too deep into desperation; some things are better left behind. If you’re finding yourself meeting the early days of the month with remorse or regret, dig down deep to find the root cause. Treating the symptoms only masks the problem, it doesn’t solve it.
The Hermit (IX) — A fitting follow-up, this card suggests you might be in the middle of a soul-search. Time for quiet reflection or observation; a reminder that rushing and panicking only heightens your adrenaline. Set some time aside to seek your own truth without the influence or opinions of others. Trust your intuition to distinguish right from wrong all on its own. A perfect opportunity to take a temporary reprieve from the eyes of the world and withdrawal for some clarity within isolation.
Five of Wands — Towards the second week of June, there is a massive blow out or large-scale competition taking place. Depending on the context, it could be a friendly game or a dangerous or tense power struggle. Remember, using that chaotic energy to your advantage can help you accomplish tasks you never thought possible. A fire is ignited, your passion is roaring, and there is no holding you back! Don’t be afraid to speak up, branch out, or stand up for what you believe in. Now is the time to let your actions reflect the content of your character.
Knight of Pentacles (reversed) — Middle of the Deck
Representing the second half of the month, there is a warning not to take on more than you can handle. Burnout is likely if you’re not careful. It’s important that we take care of our emotional and physical needs just as we take care of the needs of those we love. Every day, you are doing what you can — some days, that means just surviving. It’s not weakness to take a sick day. It’s not weakness to ask for help. Be strong, know where your limits are, and back off before you push yourself too far.
Wheel of Fortune (X) — The halfway point becomes a turning point! Embrace change while remaining true to your inner sense of self. It is okay to let things be out of your control; Karma is working her magic and we must not interfere. Interestingly, this is coming shortly after the Full Moon (which takes place on the 11th), which tells me there likely is something big influencing behavior or outcomes. Whether the card faces up or down, it suggests your luck has shifted in the opposite direction.
Page of Wands (reversed) — The third week is slow and stagnant; motivation is not just lacking, it’s practically nonexistent. This is represented by days of restlessness and no way to expel the accumulating energy. If you are giving into your impulsive nature, try to ground enough to refocus on your end goal. It is perfectly acceptable to take a breather, as long as you get back up and keep going after you’ve recovered. Avoiding responsibilities and failing to complete important tasks may come with harsh consequences.
Three of Cups (reversed) — The final full week of the month suggests you should be careful with whom you discuss private matters. Gossip, rumors, and otherwise tension in friendship circles is causing the rumor mill to run amuck. Instead of hyper-focusing on group connections, lean into the one or two close relationships that leave you feeling safe and seen. Insecurity is creeping under the surface, but don’t let self-doubt prevent you from enjoying time with the people you love.
Six of Swords — Bottom of the Deck
The end of the month lands on a very positive and hopeful note! Healing is a process, but there is relief when you finally relax your body enough to feel the tension ease away. The same is true of your spirit, your soul, your energy. All of that weight you’ve been carrying around has finally been lifted, and we are moving on and finding clarity within growth. Karma and Fate have done their jobs, you have done yours; are you ready to take the next step?
~Energy Reading~
The month of June is heavy, complicated, and at times, almost too much to bear. Keep in mind that you do not have to suffer in silence; there is hope that things will start to change for the better. Keep your chin up, continue being a beacon of light by letting your heart shine bright. The world will turn, the sun will rise, the waves will ebb and flow. Open your palms and connect with the earth to feel the heartbeat of the land. While we may not ever know all the secrets of the universe, we can trust that life is worth experiencing.
~Numerology Note~
Summary of Numbers: 3, 3, 5, 5, 5, 6, 9, 10, 11, 12, 14
Simplified Summary: 11
3 — Connection, expression, and joy.
Appreciate all of the little miracles around you this month. This season is often beautiful, warm, and inviting. Sometimes, the world burns around us while we gaze into the flames with wonder about what will grow from the ashes. If you find yourself too much in your head, focus on communicating those fears in a healthy way. You may be pleasantly surprised by what happens when you simply keep trying.
5 — Freedom, complexity, and evolution.
Every generation faces their own version of revolution and growing pains. These are necessary canon events — turning points that determine the trajectory of your future. We’ve all groaned at “no pain, no gain”, but there is truth to cliches like it. Facing discomfort and even some necessary pain is required to lead a fulfilling life. To grow and evolve, we must learn what hurts vs helps.
11 — Clarity, illumination, and awareness.
Pain with a purpose is my favorite way to frame it, which flows beautifully into the lesson of intuition. The laws of cause and effect are always in play, which is why we often say you cannot interfere with Karma or Fate. Doing so will upset the balance of nature, which must then be rectified in some manner. Slight tilts back and forth are natural, they sway with the wind in the trees. It’s when we force the scales one way or the other that we face severe consequence.
